JOB TITLE: Workplace Product Integration Solution Architect for Windows 10
WORKPLACE PRODUCT INTEGRATION
The Workplace Product Integration team within IT Shared Production Services (SPS) is accountable for the technical integration and architecture of IT Workplace related products and solutions.
JOB Purpose/Summary
Reporting directly to and taking direction from the Head of IT Workplace Product Integration, the IT Workplace Solution Architect for Windows 10 drives the creation of high level and detailed design documents in scope of the Windows 10 project.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Creation of high level and detailed design documentation:
- Windows 10 Client configuration
- Windows 10 Group Policy design
- Windows 10 Client Security design
- Windows 10 Servicing/Maintenance and release design
- Windows 10 Client Remote Access Design
- Office 365 Client Configuration
- Office 365 Group Policy Design
- Follow IT Workplace Project Management and Service Design best practices
- Carry out prototyping, proofs of concept, and technology and/or product evaluation related to Windows 10.
- Actively support project managers with all technical aspects of the project.
- Ensure business requirements are documented and scope changes are properly managed.
- Provide and coordinate work packages for the Workplace Product Engineering team
KEY Responsibilities
The Workplace Architect for Windows 10 duties include these key activities:
- Ensure implemented solutions are in line with the clients overall IT strategy and compliant with other technologies.
- Conduct technical and feasibility assessments of requests and communicate results.
- Solutions are properly documented and kept up to date (Design, Interfaces, Security and Processes)
- Actively communicate with peers and other teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
o Proven engineering/architecture experience (minimum 5 years) with the following products or technologies
- Windows 7/8/10 Client Deployment and Management
- Windows Group Policy Management (Windows 7/8/10)
- Client Virtualization: Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp
- Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2012 R2/Virtual Machine Manager 2012 R2
- Microsoft Office Suite 2013/Office 365
- Windows PowerShell Scripting
- Office 365 (Cloud Services)
o Familiar with Windows 10 Servicing options (CB, LTSB)
o Familiar with Windows 10 Feature stack
o Ability to familiarize with new technologies
o Willingness to continuously learn.
o Good communication skills in word and writing, preferably in German and English
o Capable of writing architecture type documents
o Competent knowledge in project and process management
o Good understanding of Enterprise Change Management processes.
o Very good communication skills will be required to engage your peers. This includes highly developed negotiation, influencing and conflict management skills
o Experience working with intercultural and geographically dispersed team members
o Willingness to continually embrace personal professional development
o Experience in managing change within IT organizations
o Organized individual who can prioritize time and workload
o Ability to work independently
o Service-oriented and result-oriented work attitude
o Good team player, used to working in a lively, international environment
