Working Electrical Supervisor - RAF Brize Norton

Team Q are seeking a Project Supervisor who will be based at RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire. You will be responsible for supervising the delivery of projects and managing the team of engineers on site. Previous MoD experience is essential for this role as Project Supervisor you will need to hit the ground running. This is a 3 month temporary contract however this may be extended or become a permanent role with Team Q.

As Project Supervisor you will ideally have an Engineering background with broad technical experience. Proven supervisory experience in similar roles is also required.

You must be willing to undergo a MoD background check to work on the RAF base. In return you will be rewarded with a competitive salary and a great working environment. Hours of work are Monday - Friday 08.00 - 17.00 (flexibility is required).

SPECIFIC DUTIES OF THE POST
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and coordinate and work on electrical installation activities in line with programme.
* Review design information. Highlight issues to project manager liaise with them to ensure adequate discussion and agreement of any potential design changes.
* Ensure installation meets all quality standards.
* Maintain accurate record of design changes.
* Monitor and report on installation productivity and programmed performance (including trends) to Project Management
* Coordinate the installation Completion Walk downs and complete handover of 'Turnover' packages to the Commissioning Manager/Engineer.
* Supervise the close out of all snag list items.
* Coordinate with Design/Field Engineer the inspection of all procured equipment for acceptance. Ensure correct storage and complete delivery QA inspections.
* Attend weekly coordination meetings.
* Conduct weekly subcontractor progress meetings.
* Adhere to Safety, Quality, Ethical Standards, Lessons Learned, and Performance Management programs in accordance with Company Policies, Standards, Guides, and Contractual commitments.
* Write review and approve all RAMS
* Participate in project safety initiatives. Conduct toolbox talks.
Set up and manage electrical safety system on project. Complete weekly inspections.
* Responsible for the effective management of equipment suppliers and timesheet tracking

QUALITY / HEALTH & SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL (QHSE)
1. Ensure compliance with legislative and company health and safety requirements
2. Ensure compliance with legislative and company environmental policies
3. Contribute to a safe working environment
4. Adhere to applicable risk assessments and the control measures detailed within.
5. Produce and review risk assessments and method statements for all contract activities.
6. Report accidents and near misses, H&S issues, complaints and incidents to line manager and assist in resolving these issues.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Essential:
* Full UK driving licence (preferably with C1)
* Fully qualified electrician to 17th edition with C Mobile Boom (3b); Static Vertical machines 1(a); Static Boom machines 1(b)
* PASMA - Towers for Users and Low Level Access
* First Aid at Work
* Confined Spaces Training
* Manual Handling Training
* Asbestos Awareness Training
