Workforce Planning Advisor

My Southampton based client is seeking a Workforce Planning Advisor/Workforce Advisor for a 4 month contract.

Background: To support the Workforce Planning Consultant in fulfilling the Human Resources Department's responsibilities and Human Resources Delivery Plan in respect of all Workforce Planning and Reward related matters, including the provision of timely, accurate and professional advice and practical assistance.

Key Tasks for the Workforce Planning Advisor/Workforce Advisor
*To support the Workforce Planning team in delivering HR related outcomes of ongoing change programmes
* To support the provision of relocation support services to employee's relocating within the organisation.
* To support the Workforce Planning Team by ensuring that internal and external customers' management information requests are dealt with in an accurate and timely manner;
* To act as deputy payroll and pensions contact, liaising with MyCSP, CGI Payroll, HR colleagues and individual employees to ensure the smooth operation of payroll and pension processes;
* To manage and monitor overpayment cases, in conjunction with the Workforce Planning Consultant
* To manage the client's salary sacrifice schemes (including childcare vouchers and cycle to work), liaising with customers and managing supplier communications;
* To support management with ad hoc projects and work priorities as required;
* To ensure that own continuous professional development is ongoing and supports Civil Service and HR Competency frameworks and that own knowledge is up to date with latest HR practice and employment legislation.

Key Experience Required for the Workforce Planning Advisor/Workforce Advisor
* A key emphasis in this role is pay and reward and therefore experience and skills in this area is important
* Intermediate level expertise in Microsoft Excel, with demonstrated experience of use (including pivot tables and charts)
* Working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications.
* Demonstrated customer service, communication and relationship building abilities.
