Workday & HR Architect

My client is a global pharmaceutical company based in Macclesfield. They have a contract role for a Workday & HR Architect. The Workday & HR Architect will ensure that common HR architecture decisions support both business and IT strategy, and that HR and Workday architectures delivered are compliant with relevant architecture standards, blueprints and roadmaps.

Responsibilities

* Create, maintain, and track the HR Application Roadmap adoption
* Proactive identification of opportunities for leveraging of the core Workday HR application and other strategic HR applications including Saba, Fieldglass, Salesforce and Service Now.
* Lead the effort to ensure that HR architecture decisions support the business and IS strategy, and that the architectures delivered are compliant with relevant architecture standards, blueprints and roadmaps.
* Participate in Architecture Assessments (both within HR IT and with wider Architecture community) & Reviews either as Lead Reviewing Architect or as a Subject Matter Expert in the review team.
* Understand implications of HR IT architecture requirements to 'As-Is' architectures and define/update 'To-Be' architectures applying architecture guiding principles.
* Support HR IT solution development and delivery efforts originating from portfolios, participate in IT initiatives and provide active guidance and value for better planning and decision making.
* Provide HR Technology subject matter expertise to ensure business opportunities are identified and realised in line with a standard and cost effective architecture.
* Guide and support other project architects (including third party suppliers) in the development and documentation of HR IT architectures for complex and business critical projects.
* Understand, document and articulate the End-To-End HR Technology end state and the roadmap towards its adoption

The ideal candidate will have:
* Workday experience
* HR Technology and Architecture experience
* Strong HR industry networking skills with good internal/external links
* HR Application strategy/roadmapping - experience of rationalisation, consolidation and integration across business domains
* Experience of developing and influencing business and technology strategies
* Strong communication, facilitation and relationship building skills
* Experience of developing and leading innovative solutions
* Proven experience of leading change and challenging approaches/ideas
* Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language
* Experience of policies, procedures and guidelines within a quality and compliance environment
Awareness of developments in the marketplace and understand the relevance and potential impact
