Work Pack Engineer

Purpose Of Job: Development, production and issue of offshore engineering workpacks (destruct and construct)

Area(s) of Responsibility:

* Ensuring content of workpacks are appropriate to the task and that all relevant procedures are identified and captured to carry out tasks safely.

* Ensuring the review process is adequate and timely

* Securing necessary input to workpacks from internal and external stakeholders

* Close-out of workpacks and in particular, collation of lessons learned in conjunction with PM's/PE's

Primary Responsibilities:

* Liase with Engineering, Supply Chain, HSE and Quality Groups to ensure workpacks are appropriate to task

* Compile job cards to facilitate productivity measurement throughout task

* Develop and apply norms to frequently undertaken tasks

* Support weight control data sheet production

* Support MOC processes with VOR documentation as required

* Provide support to offshore teams during workpack implementation phase and especially during final commissioning/red lining, including, if required, periodic offshore visits to support the construction team

* Consolidate single or multi-discipline scopes of work into integrated work-packs

* Provide input to CTR's and cost estimates

* Collate 3rd party input to workpacks eg - risk assessments and vendors proceedures

Key Competencies: * Able to analyse and interpret technical drawings and specifications

* Good level of computer literacy, good working knowledge of MS-Office

* Good level of written communication skills

* Ability to break-down tasks into logical sequences
