Annual Salary - JNC grades:
POINTS 8-11 £18,291 - £20,591 PRO RATA
Points 12-15 (with qualification) £21,525 - £24,166 pro rata
Fixed Term Contract - 18 months
PART TIME - 18.5 HOURS PER WEEK

1 POSITION AVAILABLE IN MID ESSEX. BASED IN CHELMSFORD, COVERING THE MALDON, BRAINTREE AND CHELMSFORD DISTRICTS.

THE ROLE

- To manage and implement work experience for young people, as part of planned youth work interventions.
- Deliver on youth work projects and work directly with young people in informal settings and maintain professional and purposeful relationships.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- A nationally JNC recognised qualification in youth support work, Level 3 or a willingness to undertake a relevant level 3 qualification
- Relevant Health and Safety qualification or willingness to undertake as soon as possible
- Excellent levels of literacy, numeracy and ICT skills
- Ability to liaise with employers and understand their needs
- Great communication skills
- Evidence of continuing, recent professional development.
- Experience of working with innovative, social education programmes.
- Ability to develop work with young people to achieve planned outcomes.
- Knowledge and experience of youth work methods and techniques.
