Wordpress Developer - Agile, Digital Services - Central London

Experienced WORDPRESS DEVELOPERS required for a major new Digital Services Programme based in Central London.

CANDIDATES MUST DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING:

SOLID EXPERIENCE OF WEB APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT AND DEPLOYMENT SKILLS INCLUDING SERVER ADMINISTRATION AND CONFIGURATION WITH A PARTICULAR FOCUS ON WORDPRESS AND ASSOCIATED TECHNOLOGIES (PHP, MYSQL, APACHE)

EVIDENCE OF EXPERIENCE IN DESIGNING USER-CENTRED DIGITAL SERVICES AND EXPERIENCE IN AGILE DEVELOPMENT OF DIGITAL SOLUTIONS.

Experience of custom plugin developments, custom theming, plugin modifications, Wordpress installation, hosting

EXPERIENCE OF ADVANCED WORDPRESS DEVELOPMENTS AND MOBILE WORDPRESS WEBSITES

Experience of Front End technologies including HTML 4/5, CSS2/3 and Javascript (incl. JQuery libraries)

The role will involve working with developers, stakeholders and business contacts covering 5 projects to baseline the requirements for the migration of website content from RedDot 6.5 (or flat HTML) to Wordpress. Working with operation sstaff to facilitate hosted Wordpress platform on Amaxon Web Services (EC2. Design and build responsive web and mobile products using Wordpress templates, modifications and plugins to servie a variety of user needs

THIS IS VERY MUCH A TEAM-WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND THE ROLE WILL INVOLVE SIGNIFICANT INTERACTION WITH STAKEHOLDERS, INTERNAL AGENCIES AND TEAM MEMBERS. CANDIDATES MUST DEMONSTRATE THE ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY AND CHALLENGE REQUIREMENTS WHERE NECESSARY. YOU WILL ALSO BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE SKILLS TRANSFER/TRAINING FOR INHOUSE TEAM MEMBERS
