Wireless Network Engineer

This position is for a high calibre Network Wireless Engineer to design implement and support a variety of wireless network and security solutions. The candidate must be able to provide design development and consulting, configuration templates, deployment and operational support of network technologies to ensure continuous availability of secured and reliable wireless network services to both internal and external global customers. The position requires extensive experience with Cisco and Aruba wireless technology as well as general routing, switching and network security skills. In addition, this position requires firsthand knowledge and experience with software and hardware interfaces aspects of disparate commercial wireless products such as WiMax, 3G and 4G cellular.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Configuration of different technologies of Cisco, Aruba, and other network devices
- Design and deployments of large scale wireless networks for office and production field locations
- 3rd level point of contact for escalations from the Operations team
- Standardization of the wireless network environment including development of standard design templates
- Troubleshooting wireless Ethernet based networks and TCP/IP based services
- Configuring and troubleshooting IP routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, and MPLS
- Design, configuration and troubleshooting of 3G/4G carrier based cellular services
- Measurement and validation of RF link performance, quality and reliability through the use of propagation design tools
- Design, configuration and troubleshooting of 3G/4G carrier based cellular service
- Training and mentoring of fellow engineers

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or related field
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- CCIE certification preferred or equivalent experience
- Must be well versed in multiple transmission systems (ie Telco circuits, Satellite, Private microwave, VHF, UHF and Cellular), routing layers/protocols, IP Addressing, subnets, QoS, performance monitoring, VPN, Voice Systems, Firewalls, Wireless technologies planning and performance tools
- Requires performing multiple tasks and communicating with many internal customers simultaneously
- Strong customer relationship skills
- Ability to think in a logical and systematic way to develop solutions, solve problems, incorporate suggestions and resolve issues
- Some travel required
