Wireless Engineer - Konya (Turkey)

WIRELESS ENGINEER - KONYA (TURKEY)
1 X WIRELESS ENGINEER is needed in, on contract base in Konya (Turkey) for one of our clients, a prestigious international Telecommunications company. Eligibility to work in Turkey and fluent English language skills are a prerequisite for an application. Start date will be 15/08/2014.
SCOPE OF WORK:
- Second line support with necessary expertise to resolve issues escalated from First line diagnostics
- Provide technical reports to identify cause of problems, and give preventive guidance to avoid the same problem happen again
- Escalate the trouble ticket to Vendor Support when they cannot solve it, and trace it until solved
- Change & Configuration Management Support
- Support to work out the scheduled work for implementing configuration changes
- Support to manage the implementation of configuration changes under the agreed procedures
- Support to maintain a configuration database to document all active and passive network connection, hardware, documentation and services
- Support to work out the task management checklist and frequency of the network routine maintenance, and periodically review and update it
- Based on the collected data, concentrate on the equipment known errors notified and the analysis of historic fault trend to work out the result analysis report
- Corrective Maintenance is carried out to fix or adjust significant equipment defects and failures, including the required replacement of units, boards, components, modules. Field Maintenance staff is available to react for 7x24 basis.
- Field Maintenance staff will be located in the specified places according to network distribution.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 7 years of Wireless (GSM/UMTS) experience with 4 years Huawei experience.
- Experienced on Huawei Wireless network such as BSC, RNC, BTS, Nodeb, etc.
- Experienced on Huawei BSC/RNC, BTS/Nodeb installation, commissioning, integration, testing and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of GSM/UMTS wireless network systems.
- Experienced to use Huawei management tools such as M2000, CME, NIC, etc.
- Knowledge of transmission systems.
- Experienced on troubleshooting of GSM/UMTS wireless network.
- Experienced on software upgrades of Huawei BSC/RNC, BTS/Nodeb.
- Ericsson systems knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to provide guidance to customer.
