Your responsibilities

Assist the Internal IT Core Infrastructure team (currently 2 people);

-day-to-day Sysadmin (resolving tickets, troubleshooting, user support …)
-Focus = automate tasks and services where possible

Assist the Business IT side (currently 1 person);

-By learning & growing into the Simac specific applications and toolsets
-Becoming the backup + sparring partner of the key lead developer
-Gradually developing new functionalities in existing tools & applications, and co-developing new ones from scratch
-Be(come) very knowledgeable at all times on the current ICT infrastructures of the customer,
-Review, assess and evaluate the existing ICT infra & Software environment at regular times,
-Be an active and creative member in the inter-disciplinary meetings
-Create and maintain technical & user documentation (standards, procedures)
-Be a reliable project member when new functionality is to be envisioned and implemented
-Align the local tooling and/or infrastructure with the globally imposed processes & standards
-Identify optimization opportunities

-Ability to think end-to-end in ICT Sysadmin (from cable to work-space)
- Build in reflex to automate where you need to do repetitive work by scripting,
- Greedy to learn new technologies, ability to "digest" them and will to use them wisely to improve our ICT environment
- Service attitude (patience with difficult end-users)
- Wants to get to the bottom of things with the passion to fix & improve.
- Grasps the relations between ICT and business and supports likewise
- Feels at home, both with hardware, as well as in software environments
- Loves to work in a small team (non-conflicting personality)
- No 9-to-5 attitude. Understands flexibility needs when critical issues arise
- Quality reflex. Thinks, plans, executes, documents & verifies in a structured way
- Able to explain a discuss solutionsfrom cable to network to client to server to storage to DB stack and application.
- Good analysis skills and methodology in scripting / programming
- Fluent knowledge of Dutch and English; spoken, written and read.
