Wintel Server Operations Support

WINTEL SERVER OPERATIONS SUPPORT NEEDED

NEED TO BE AVAILABLE TO WORK EITHER 7AM - 3:30PM, MONDAY THRU FRIDAY OR 2:30PM - 11PM, MONDAY THRU FRIDAY

- Network, server and application monitoring for hosted infrastructure and applications
- Support and response including assessment, analysis, escalation and resolution of system problems or malfunctions
- Critical support role in meeting the nuclear custom outage service level agreement for resolving outage related IT problems in an average of 30 minutes or less
- Coordination of incident response and problem resolution with responsible IT Operations associates and IT vendors as necessary
- Documentation of problems and their resolution in the ITSM system's incident and problem records
- Replacing field replaceable units provided by Sun/Oracle
- Support of Windows server infrastructure
- Updating the management agents that are installed on the Servers, ie Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft Operations Manager, EMC PowerPath, Symantec Antivirus, Tivoli Storage Management, Dell and Sun hardware agents, etc.
- Patch, reboots and any other server activity as requested
- Physical and virtual server builds
- Hardware firmware updates
- Investigation of performance issues and server down incidents
- Creation and support of print queues for client use
- File level restores for clients, such as excel and word documents on network shares
- Ensuring that virus protection is configured and working on all applicable Servers
- Responding to disk usage alarms
- Troubleshooting server performance issues;
- Monitoring the ITSM system queues for incident, tasking and changing records and taking the appropriate actions necessary to successfully resolve them

QUALIFICATIONS

- 3 to 7 years' related work experience required
- Active Directory architecture
- Microsoft clustering
- Microsoft encryption
- File and Print Management
- IIS, FTP and web technologies
- Virtual Infrastructure (VMware) 3.0/3.5/4.0
- System monitoring tools such as EMC Ionix and Microsoft System Center
- Antivirus Protection
- System Backup/Restore procedures
- Administrative Scripting using VB, PowerShell or CLI
- Citrix and Remote access administration
- Email and Data Archiving
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification preferred
- ITIL v3 Foundations certification preferred
- Red Hat Linux knowledge/certification
- Exchange architecture/support experience
- Experience with mail architecture related to perimeter security, anti-spam, routing, mailbox failover and archiving technologies (IronMail/Symantec Enterprise Vault)
- IPAM - BlueCat Networks
- Blackberry 4.x/5.x support experience
- SharePoint architecture and administration
- Server OS responsibility will include the following server versions: Microsoft Windows NT, 2000, 2003 and 2008
