Wintel Engineer - Dublin - DAY RATE NEG, ASAP

Wintel Engineer required for 6 weeks Initialy - DUBLIN

Role: Assist in the design, testing and implementation stages of Windows projects. Configuration and installation of all server hardware, including installation of the operating system and third party products onto the system. Act as a technical expert and advisor on Windows.

Description : Ideally, the individual will be familiar with the HP Build process especially for Metro Clusters, with real world experience with build/configuration. Must have experience building Windows 2012 stretched geo clusters in the last 12 months.

Activities : (not exclusive to)

Wintel Management Servers to be built

Service account to be created

Test window OS environments to be built

Backup/Restore activities (Configure MSL lib and join cell manager)

Format tapes

Burn in tape tests

Backup configuration & Monitoring

Multiple Backup and Restore tests

SKILLS :

Strong experience in Windows Administration, Clustering, Monitoring, Troubleshooting, Migration & Upgrade on:

- Active Directory and Windows based domains
- Group Policy
- DNS, DHCP Servers
- Mail Servers (MS Exchange)
- Antivirus solutions (Symantec, McAfee, Trend Micro etc.)
- Backup solutions (Symantec backup exec, ArcServe etc.)
- TCP/IP and Networking basics
- VMWare
