Our Client is currently seeking an experienced Wintel Systems Engineer, with strong SCOM 2012 to be based in Cambridge.

The successful Wintel Server Specialist will provide expertise on a migration from SCOM 2007 - SCOM 2012. The successful candidate will be able to hit the ground running and assist my client in utilising SCOM 2012 to its full capabilities. The role is based in Cambridge, working in a large environment with 900 Servers, 5000 users across 7 Data Centres. Whilst this position will predominantly be project based, the successful candidate will also provide day to day 3rd and 4th line support, server deployment, and general troubleshooting for business critical applications. Therefore the successful candidate will have strong practical experience in managing, monitoring and maintaining a large globally dispersed server estate.

Skills and Qualifications

- SCOM 2012 (Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2012). Highly Proficient setup and management of a large SCOM 2012 infrastructure
- Strong experience managing and maintaining a large server base of Windows Server 2003, 2008 and 2012,
- A knowledge of Windows Server technologies, such as, back-up/restore, clustering, IIS, WDS, WSUS, DFS etc.
- A knowledge of Active Directory Services, Exchange, SQL and associated technologies such as, AD DS, GPOs, DNS, WINS, DHCP
