We are currently recruiting for a Wintel-Citrix System Analyst for our clients based in Brussels for a one year contract with possible extension
Mission Requirement
Responsible for installing, configuring, administering, maintaining and managing the global Citrix/terminal server farms infrastructure within the UCB company. Assists in the design, planning and implementation of the Global Citrix environment and develops and maintains configurations, deployment and maintenance utilities, documentation, procedures and practices.
Develops procedures required to maintain and support group and sites needs and ensures this documentation is accurately maintained. Assists with defining and maintaining capacity and disaster recovery plans and facilities for this environment. Expected to assist with group projects, and is responsible for efficient, accurate execution of goals in accordance with quality metrics, target dates and budgets. Exhibits a high-degree of technical competence in Windows and Citrix environments.
Mission responsibilities
- Coordinates, administers and performs Citrix installations, configurations, troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Assists with development of Citrix farm deployment, support and maintenance procedures.
- Troubleshoots and resolves complicated issues within Citrix systems, applications and hardware environment. Acts as 3rd level escalation support as required.
- Assists with assessing and implementing vendor supplied upgrades, patches and virus updates as related to Citrix farm.
- Work and partner with internal and external contractors and support personnel to ensure proper transitioning and on-going support of operational tasks
- Incident management. Ensure that all HD calls are resolved within defined SLAs and all calls to be correctly allocated or escalated in line with defined escalation procedures.
- Assist project and architecture teams to understand Citrix requirements and define appropriate hardware and software configurations.
- Utilization and maintenance of software tools to monitor and manage Citrix farm, capacity and performance.
- Performs system testing and associated regulatory validations of Citrix environment
- Kepp aware of new technologies and maintain knowleadge.
- Suggest and help realisation of improvement and/or new implementation based on redesign, problem solving, new technologies or features to improve the Citrix, Data Center and server team agility,performance and reliability.
Specific professional/technical expertise and key skills required:
- 3 to 5 years demonstrated work experience in Windows Servers Environment.
- more than 2 years demonstrated work experience in the design, implementation and support of Citrix environment
- Experience in regulated and process focused computing environment preferred
- Experience in hardware (VMware) and software virtualisation (AppV) preferred
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Operating System and affiliated software components, services, protocols and technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Citrix environment for configuration, performance, capacity and fault management
- Must work well in a team-orientated, highly dynamic environment
- Possess strong diagnostic and analytical skills, with a proactive, detail-oriented focus
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers and vendors
- Able to effective communicate both written and verbal in English and French
- Customer service focused
