POSITION: Windows - VMWare Consultant (France/Switzerland)

DURATION: 6 -12 months+

LOCATION: Manno, Switzerland/Aussonne, France (Candidates' Preference)

JOB DESCRIPTION

- Build, support, and maintain Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 and Microsoft Server 2012 R2, including DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
- Build, support, and maintain VMware v5.5 and v6.0 environments along with VMware Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (Horizon).
- Install, support, and maintain Microsoft System Center Operations Manager.
- Theoretical (if not hands-on) knowledge of enterprise storage systems (iSCSI) and their relationship with VMware ESXi hosts and clusters
- Theoretical (if not hands-on) knowledge of EMC Avamar backup and disaster recovery systems
- Install, support, and maintain Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.
- Install, support, and maintain Dell branded server/storage (Powervault and EqualLogic iSCSI) hardware.
- Install, maintain, and support Microsoft Windows Terminal Server environments.
- Install, maintain, and support Citrix environments. (we can remove that for Europe, not used here)
- Install, maintain, and support Citrix XenApp environment.
- Monitor proactively all midrange elements, like physical/virtual Servers, storages, backup system etc. Acknowledges and take actions on alerts.
- Update business applications (Server Side) following update instructions from business owners.
- Support and maintain Windows Update Services.
- Create and maintain Microsoft Powershell scripts.
- Speak fluent English.
- Have good coordination skills.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with other team members.
