Windows/Unix Systems Administrator

Our client, a well-known company in the Washington, DC area, is looking for a Windows/UNIX Systems Administrator to play a crucial role on their production team.

They are looking for an experienced SA with experience working in large-scale IT environments, ideally in a Windows/UNIX environment with knowledge of VMWare, MQ, and Tuxedo.

This long-term contract assignement is at one of the most exciting and fastest growing companies in their industry. It's an excellent opportunity for a Systems Administrator to advance their career in a financially stable and rewarding workplace.

Required:

- At least 3 years of experience working with UNIX/Windows OS, Scripting and production application support experience
- Working knowledge of VMWARE, MQ, and Tuxedo.
- Extensive Scripting Experience (BASH, PERL, Batch)
- Experience supporting multitier Client Server applications.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Operation Framework (MOF) V4.0 and/or ITIL V3 Foundation certification.

Plusses:

- Knowledge of Internet architecture/infrastructure support activities and Mobile Systems will be a plus.
- Developer experience would be a plus.
