Windows Technical Analyst (Troubleshooter Microsoft) - Contract Dublin.
My client a leading global name is in urgent need of a talented and experienced Windows Troubleshooter to join them on a contract basis of 3-6 months (highly likely for extensions)
My client is looking for you to participate in and review Technical Design and solutions related to Active Directory, GPO Settings, Organisational Unit structure etc. Candidates will Troubleshoot technical issues arising throughout all phases of the DSU Programme, from design to deployment
This will include Trouble-shooting Web application compatibility issues with Internet Explorer 11 (Knowledge of IE11 compatibility/remediation modes ) You will have deep technical ability with emphasis on client software in a Windows environment, including development tools. You will also be able to advise on conversion issues with Excel Macros when converting to MS Office 2010.
Successful candidates will have experience in large Desktop/Laptops migration project (especially in the context of upgrading from Windows XP to Windows 7/8.1). You will also have experience with virtualisation concepts, solutions and technologies including deployment of applications in a VDI/Citrix environment, it will be expected you have experience working with knowledge of MS Office 2010 as well as technical knowledge of MS Excel and Excel macros.
Successful candidates will be experienced Microsoft Windows practitioner (7/8) - MCSE preferred with 5+ years of commercial experience in large scale environment. You will also have previous experience of application packaging and distribution - eg SMS, SCCM.
