Windows Systems Engineer

Looking for an experienced Windows System Engineer with a minimum NV1 level security clearance for a 3 month contract opportunity.

THE WINDOWS SYSTEM ENGINEER WILL HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH:

- Providing operation support
- Resolving issues and problems as they arise
- Monitoring system performance
- Taking remediation actions in response to system changes, errors, problems incidents inclusive of recommending technical solutions
- Working as a team to maintain a stable and effective fleet of Windows Servers
- Provide technical inputs to server solutions/designs review technical inputs to server solutions/designs, and implement the solutions as required.

AS PART OF THE WINDOWS TEAM, THE WINDOWS SYSTEM ENGINEER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR OPERATIONAL SUPPORT INCLUSIVE OF:

- Providing quality solutions to issues and/or problems related to Windows Servers in a timely manner
- Providing technical support during and outside business hours as required
- Providing technical advice and/or solutions to issues and problems with applications hosted on the Windows Servers as required
- Monitoring systems performance, automate monitoring process, and undertake remediation actions where applicable
- Developing and implementing administrative tools where applicable
- Providing technical advice and/or solutions on system enhancement where applicable
- Configuration and administration of Windows Servers fleet
- Building and deployment of Servers (to OS)
- Build, configure and deploy physical and virtual (Windows) Servers to a particular standard
- Install and configure applications
- Review system design documentation as required
- Complete, accurate, comprehensive and up to date documentation using standard document templates where applicable

YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE IN:

- Windows Server administration and issues/problem resolution
- VMWare ESXi (v5) administration and related issues/problem resolution
- Administration and issues resolution of IBM and HP Servers
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including negotiation skills
- Ability to effectively work in a team of technical specialists
- Experience and/or knowledge of one or more of the following:
- Microsoft Products administration and support
- SCCM (and related tools)
- SCCM packages
- SCOM
- Hyper-V
- IIS
- SharePoint
- Exchange Citrix XenApps (v4.5 and later)
