WINDOWS SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR RICHMOND, CA 6 MONTH CONTRACT

The Windows Systems Administrator will be responsible for configuration, deployment and support of distributed, corporate Windows infrastructures. Additionally, s/he will be expected to act as a leader and senior resource in implementing and deploying best practices as it pertains to the corporate infrastructure for Windows and VMware Servers.

This is a day shift position (optional 9/80 schedule) and has a ROTATING ON CALL SCHEDULE for weekdays and weekends after hours (current cycle is on call for one week every quarter).

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
- 2+ years experience with base supported technologies: Microsoft Server 2003/2008, VMWare and Server hardware technologies
- Heavy experience engineering and supporting VMware virtual and host Servers
- Strong experience working with VMware ESXi and other VMware tools
- Experience with NetApp storage, snapshots, backups, and optimization, backup and recovery
- Use and deployment of Sophos antivirus software
- Background and experience in maintaining Information Protection and Compliance policies and tasks
- Experience with configuring and maintaining storage area networks (SAN)
- Ability to design, code and maintain PowerShell Scripts

REQUIREMENTS:

- Established teamwork and leadership skills to lead and participate in resolution of escalated incidents with multiple technology disciplines
- Problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Successfully Communicate technical details to a wide variety of audiences
- Respond to common inquiries or escalations from end-users
- Write routine reports for documentation
