PROJECT CONTEXT
Windows 7 migration project for a global chemical company (.000 users/devices).
The project will implement a new workplace solution targeting multiple devices and locations. Along with the upgrade to Windows 7 on fat clients and XenApp 6.5/Windows 2008R2 on the SBC environment, the project will prepare for a user segmentation concept to provide the business an optimized user environment.

Windows system engineer for Back Office Team
The project is looking for an excellent technical resource to perform Back End infrastructure activities as part of the migration in EMEA.
The Back End contains at least the following components; Windows 2003/2008 server AD admin, App-V 4.6 environment, VM-ware ESXi setup to support several environments (Dev/QA/testing areas), SCCM
The engineer(s) report to the Deployment Manager and will perform AD, SCCM, XenApp6 migration scripts and scenarios and provide 2nd Level project support during Implementation, Including advanced Scripting support et cetera, but also assist and guide in practical migration arrangement.
The engineer will also assist in defining and fine-tuning migration scenarios for global roll out.
Technical skills/qualifications
KNOWLEDGE AREA/ITEM REQUIRED SKILL LEVEL
- Windows server administration (2003 - 2008) Excellent
- AD administration Excellent
- VMware Good
- App-V 4.6 Basic
- VBS and/or command line Scripting Excellent
- SCCM administration and troubleshooting Basic
- Citrix XenApp 6 Excellent
- PVS Basic
- Windows 7 Excellent
ADVANTAGE CERTIFICATIONS
- MCITP for Windows 2008 or equivalent
- Windows 7 certified (MCTS) and enterprise desktop administration
- CCA (Citrix Certified Administrator)
- Citrix XenApp certification (CXA-300-1i or similar)
- A MINIMUM OF 7 YEARS IT EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. AS A RESULT A BROAD COMMON IT KNOWLEDGE IS EXPECTED.
PERSONAL SKILLS
- Project minded personality with a team players attitude.
- Performance oriented, he/she meets the targets defined by the project manager and shows willingness to exceed its.
- Able to work in an international environment.
- Self-governing in his job, he has to report all issues and situations correctly and timely and propose solutions.
- Handle escalations timely and respectful.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Excellent English level expected to communicate with the global IT staff.
- English writing skills are key to create technical project documentation.
