Windows Support Administrator/Developer (Bank, Luxembourg)

BACKGROUND: My client is a major banking organisation in Luxembourg. They are looking for a Windows Support Administrator/Developer to join their team supporting internal customers. The role is primarily in a support/administration function.

TASKS:

- Create inventory repository for Software, Hardware and licences;
- Maintain and create packages based on Microsoft Deployment Toolkit;
- Installation, operation and support of the IT systems;
- Perform day to day system administration activities;
- Assist in keeping the integrity of the systems;
- Perform system maintenance activities, including backup and recovery;
- Assist with system and software upgrades as required (out of hours).

SKILLS:

- Knowledge of at least one of the following: Command-line batches, VBScript, Powershell, or any one of C++, C#, VB.NET, F#, Python, Ruby.
- Deployment Tools: MDT 2010 or higher and/or SCCM 2007 or higher;
- Windows Server 2003 and 2008R2;
- MS-SQL 2005/2008;
- Active Directory in a multi forest environment;
- You should have notions of VMware.

Language: English is essential. Although French or German are not essential, any knowledge will be a plus.

Experience of working in banking/asset/fund/investment management services will be a plus.

Candidates from Luxembourg or surrounding region (even if in another country!) will be preferred.
