Windows Server Platform and Security Engineer - English Speaking Contr

For a global bank based here in Zurich we are looking for a Microsoft Windows Server Platform and Security Engineer to join the team.

THE JOB:

Within IT Security (Authentication & Crypto) the Authentication team is responsible for the delivery of Credential Management Solutions.

It delivers a single authentication card for logical and physical access ensuring increased security, enabling BYOD flexibility and secure remote access. The card to be composed of three access keys: Smartcard, One Time Password (OTP) and building access in one device (3 Key Card - 3KC).

Proven record within a Windows Engineering or IT Security Engineering role.
Understanding of business analysis process & use cases
Broad technical skill-set covering desktop, application & server platform engineering
Programming/debugging skills - Java, Scripting languages etc.
Experience integrating applications into operational support tools (eg monitoring/alerting tools).
Experience packaging applications for deployment onto production infrastructure.
Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal) in order to liaise with internal and vendor team members.
Banking experience preferred but not essential

Tasks:

- Conduct application discovery and fact finding through meetings with both technical & business stakeholders
- Analyse Security IT applications landscape and specific requirements for integrating identity management solutions
- Determine technical implementation and Onboarding method
- Creation of solution designs compliant with UBS standards and operational guidelines
- Perform technical validation of solution design and technical implementation through Engineering build & smoke testing
- Provides technical assistance to Test teams with preparation of Test Plan design
- Preparation of technical work instructions for Production Implementation by Support teams
- Level 3 Support (Escalation point for Level 2 Support Organisation in case of incidents
- Act as a partner for Business Analysts regarding requirements specification
- Preparation of solution design documentation, diagrams and technical artefacts
- Maintain documentation relevant to operations (operation manual, installation guide, etc.).
- Provides technical recommendation & guidance to business and technical stakeholders whilst being compliant with standards and operational guidelines
- Provides technical recommendation & guidance to IT Security Project Managers

WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WITH:

- Strong experience with analysis, conceptual and design work in the following security areas
- Ability to drive and reconcile new system architectures
- Knowledge of building access technologies, and in particular knowledge of Tyco's C-Cure system is a strong asset.
- Experienced in the design and deployment high-availability systems
- Experience of working within an IT Security organisation, a deep understanding of security principles
- All round good working knowledge of thin/fat/web applications,OSI model, Networking & Security
- Experience with MS Identity Management (FIM) is an asset
- Excellent end-to-end troubleshooting skills throughout the application & network layers
- Proven development experience with .NET Web Services (C#)
- Good working knowledge of common web services HTTP/HTTPS, DNS,SMTP
- Authentication & Encryption protocols/services (x.509,2FA,AES,SSL)
- MCSE Certified & working knowledge of AD, GPO, MS PKI, Developer
- Experience troubleshooting using IE browser developer tools, Fiddler 2, Wireshark
- Experience of web programming/Scripting languages (Java, PowerShell, Perl)
- Comfortable running calls with both business & technical stakeholders
- Excellent communicator in both written and spoken English
- Able to conduct in depth discussions about business and technical matters in English
- Capable of creating high quality systems documentation
- Highly motivated, confident and capable of both working independently and within a team
