Windows Server Engineer, Banking, English (Contract, Zurich)

WINDOWS SERVER ENGINEER, BANKING, ENGLISH (CONTRACT, ZURICH)

For one of our clients, a worldwide renowned Bank based in Zürich, Swisslinx is currently looking for a WINDOWS SERVER ENGINEER.

WE CAN OFFER:

L1/L2 Support and installation of virtual Infrastructure, incl. administration and maintenance activities for complex VMware ESX based server platform
-

Lifecycle and migration activities (plan and execute)
-

Performance analysis with ITPAM (Netuitive) monitoring and RVTools utility set
-

Coordination of the specific tasks in Windows Servers eg Build Upgrades and Patch Deployment
-

L2 Support (Incident-, Problem-, Change-Management) of high available Windows and ESX server systems
-

Support for integration of new systems and products, including support for projects through all environments from test to production.
-

Quality assurance and acceptance tests for Windows systems, standard builds and software components
-

Root cause analysis and implementation of sustainable solutions
-

Support for Life Cycle projects
-

Create, revise and update technical documentation

YOUR PROFILE:

-

Completed apprenticeship in Information Technology or adequate education
-

Several years of work experience in system administration of Windows 2003, 2008, 2012 and ESX/vSphere Systems in lager environments
-

Attendance to weekend work and work outside office hours
-

Practical experience in Incident-, Problem and Change Management, including root cause analysis
-

Knowledge and/or experience in Systems Management Tools (eg BMC Patrol, ServiceNow), Virtualization (VMware), Scripting (vbs/powershell) and ITIL is an advantage.

Knowhow in system administration of SAN attached Systems
-

Strong analytical and strategic abilities with solid implementation skills
-

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work and communicate effectively with senior management and other stakeholders
-

Powershell/PowerCLI knowledge
-

Fluent in English and German (spoken and written)

THIS IS A 12 MONTHS CONTRACT INITIALLY, WITH A POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION. START DATE: IDEALLY ASAP.
