Windows Server Engineer

For our banking client in Basel we are currently looking for a

Windows Server Engineer - SQL

Start date: ASAP
End date: 03.2019
Location: Basel

Ideal candidate shall bring:

- in-depth knowledge and experience in WINDOWS SERVER TECHNOLOGIES: ACTIVE DIRECTORY, DNS, IIS AND FILE SYSTEM SECURITY.
- in-depth experience with DESIGNING, DEPLOYING, CONFIGURING AND TROUBLESHOOTING SQL SERVER INFRASTRUCTURES
- experience with 2ND AND 3RD LEVEL TROUBLESHOOTING of technical issues
- Good understanding of SQL server infrastructure best practices
- experience managing Group Policies for large complex environments.

Nice to have:

- Understanding of clustering technologies and storage options for databases
- PowerShell Scripting
- anti-virus technologies and VMWARE technologies

Other important skills:

- understanding of IT best practice, ITIL fundamentals and their application in a business environment.
- strong team-working skills and cultural awareness.
- good negotiation skills.
- VERY GOOD COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS
- practical experience participating in IT initiatives.
- innovative thinking.
- ability to follow change management procedures.
- initiative, drive and enthusiasm.
- overall knowledge of the dependencies and how they interact, for example with regard to the technologies involved in core server, networking, database and application technologies
