Windows Server Engineer - 6 Month Contract - The Hague - £375 per day - Security Clearance

A leading technology consultancy are seeking are seeking a Windows Server Engineer to work on site at a large European institution located in The Hague, Netherlands on an initial 6 month contract basis, with extensions likely.

DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE ROLE AND ENVIRONMENT, CANDIDATES MUST HAVE A VALID AND ACTIVE SC, NATO OR EUROPEAN EQUIVALENT SECURITY CLEARANCE.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and configuring Microsoft server operating systems and Active Directory forests. The Windows Server Engineer will design Active Directory forests and domains, as well as creating and managing connections to Microsoft and third party LDAP systems.

Your duties will also include, but won't be limited to:

- Reviewing, applying and troubleshooting security hardening on the Operating System and IIS Servers
- Creating, testing and troubleshooting PowerShell
- Configuring, creating and implementing PKI Certificates on the Servers and services
- Configuring private cloud technologies based on Microsoft Service Fabric
- Providing input and configurations for server and solution monitoring
- Installing and configuring Java based Servers
- Performing the sizing of Servers based on information provided by the vendor
- Supporting the design and implementation of Microsoft ADFS deployments

SKILLS

The Windows Server Engineer will have significant experience in the area of Microsoft server and Active Directory configuration and troubleshooting. Experience with LDAP troubleshooting is essential, as well as knowledge of how to translate a High Level Design into an implementable infrastructure.

The Windows Server Engineer will also have knowledge of:

- Windows 2008R2 and Windows 2012
- Internet Information Server (IIS)
- Implementing Load Balancer configurations for Microsoft Servers (preferably with the Big-IP F5 suite)
- Basic networking including IP, NAT, load balancing
- Microsoft ADFS

The working language for this role is English, so good knowledge of the language is essential.
