Windows Server Engineer

The Windows Server Engineer will need to have strong technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills with the desire and ability to help both inexperienced and experienced users. This role requires involvement in an on-call weekly rotation and availability to assist the team during non-work hour emergencies. In addition, as we are a global company, there may be times in which this resource will have to work weekend days or outside of normal work hours to assist the team in completing projects/emergencies that encompass remote sites.

JOB DESCRIPTION

- Provide first and second level support for the branch locations.
- Provide support and maintenance for all desktop business applications owners.
- Provide Back End server implementation and support (Microsoft Windows Servers 2003/2008).
- Develop, publish, and maintain documentation such as server builds, "How To"s, and FAQs.
- Work with other departments to plan, implement and support a custom application.
- As needed, work extended hours under tight deadlines to successfully meet objectives.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies
- Strong server troubleshooting skills
- Extensive knowledge of Windows 2003/2008, Active Directory
- Experience administering DNS, DHCP, File, Print, Active Directory, and Group/Security policies in an enterprise network environment
- Solid documentation skills
- Experience in maintaining standardized IT environments
- MCSE certification desired, 2008 preferred
- CCNA a plus
