Windows Server Administrator - SQL Server Infrastructure

WINDOWS SERVER ADMINISTRATOR - SQL SERVER INFRASTRUCTURE - This is a long term contract opportunity to join a global organisation. The role will involve 2nd and 3rd line administration of Windows server technologies (Active Directory, DNS, IIS etc.) and supporting major project initiatives.

YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

- 5+ years Windows Server administration and support experience
- Excellent knowledge of SQL Server infrastructure - deploying, configuring and troubleshooting
- Understanding of storage options and clustering technologies is highly desirable
- Managed Group policies for large environments
- Knowledge of PowerShell is highly desirable
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken

YOUR TASKS:

- 2nd and 3rd line support of Windows Server technologies
- Working closely with SQL Server DBA's and Storage teams to support the setup of the SQL infrastructure
- Configuring virtual machines
- Administering core server, networking, database and application technologies
- Planning, configuring, deploying, designing and troubleshooting SQL Servers
- Participating in IT initiatives
