Right now we re looking for a Windows Server Administrator to be responsible for upgrading a number of server operating systems to Server 2012. This Administrator should have experience with Server 2000, 2003, 2008 and 2012 operating systems. In addition, s/he should have experience in the upgrade process and will need experience in VMware.

Summary: Research, design, develop, and test computer or computer-related equipment. Responsible for supervising the manufacturing and installation of computer or computer-related equipment.

MAJOR JOB DUTIES:

- Update knowledge and skills to keep up with rapid advancements in computer technology.
- Provide technical support to designers, marketing and sales departments, suppliers, engineers and other team members throughout the product development and implementation process.
- Test and verify hardware and support peripherals to ensure that they meet specifications and requirements, by recording and analysing test data.
- Monitor functioning of equipment and make necessary modifications to ensure the system operates in conformance with specifications.
- Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan layout, including type of computers and peripheral equipment modifications.
- Build, test, and modify product prototypes using working models or theoretical models constructed with computer simulation.
- Analyze user needs and recommend appropriate hardware.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent training/education required
- 5 to 7 years customer service related experience required
- Systems upgrade experience
- Experience with Server 2000, 2003, 2008 and 2012
- Knowledge of computer software, such as configuration management software, desktop communications software, operating system software and Internet directory services software
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage ones time
- Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback
