Windows Release Manager/Engineer

WINDOWS RELEASE MANAGER/ENGINEER
The release and deployment Manager/engineer is part of the release and deployment operation team and responsible to coordinate application testing before its integration in the production environment. The release and deployment Manager/Engineer will report to the Global release and deployment manager in region and must have aptitude and capability to systematically test application functionality or coordinate the testing with business users as part of the development/test cycle, and in preparation for the go-live phase of each application. Ideally, the candidate should have prior experience of a Release Environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing in preparation to the Windows 7 roll out.
- Manager Release into a production Environment
- Documentation of UAT Test Scenarios and Test Cases.
- Identification and analysis of software defects using HP Quality Center
- In parallel with testing responsibilities, the candidate will be required to assist in the delivery of reporting on the testing results.
- Work with packaging engineering team to ensure the quality of delivered software as well as ensuring timely bug resolution.

SKILLS:

- SCCM
- Release Management experience.
- Ability to interact with databases via SQL
- Good knowledge of software development life cycle and defect resolution processes in particular
- Ability to multi-task and test different applications relating to a release
- Good time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
