Windows Network Engineer

We are currently seeking a Windows Network Engineer to design, build, implement and maintain applications and operating system on PC's to minimize support and maintenance costs. The ideal candidate will be able to act as an expert in the MSOffice suite to provide guidance and support to the IS user community and help maintain applications and operating systems on the network Servers to maintain current business needs.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Responsible for the design, development, implementation, purchasing, receiving and maintenance of the standard desktop and network Servers to support the APS business informational needs and minimize support and maintenance costs.
- Responsible for the continual upgrading, and or staging of the existing user community's computers and network Servers to keep the operating system and applications as current as IT policy allows.
- To provide network administrator tasks and helpdesk support when needed and fill-in other areas as a backup person.
- Is the acknowledged expert in the standard PC office products (Microsoft Suite and be knowledgeable in other software packages to provide guidance and support to both the user community and IS in maximizing the potential productivity improvements these products represent.
- Design, build, implement, and maintain custom applications requested by the user community by utilizing the office products capabilities to improve the functionality of the products and Improve our customer's productivity.
- To continually improve in technical knowledge and qualifications through cross training, CBT courses, taking classes, attending seminars, and acquiring certifications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelors in Computer Science and five to seven years' experience in programming in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of network operating systems protocols cabling, data communications principals including ASYNC LAN and WAN, Business and Systems analysis and programming knowledge.
- Knowledge of PC hardware and software configuration and troubleshooting.
- Must have excellent documentation skills.
