Out Client a giant IT Consultancy firm based in Warsaw has an urgent need for a Windows IIS Administrator. You will be reporting to the Manager of the team, this position provides support of the Windows Webserver management (IIS). The position involves all aspects of support, planning, deployment and maintaining of IIS 6.0,7.0 and 7.5.

JOB BACKGROUND/CONTEXT:

The core responsibility will be to act as a senior member of the team supporting the Webserver infrastructure and products.

The role will act as Level 2 support for Windows web server management.

In addition to excellent functional knowledge of the technologies supported by the team and contributing to the planning, deployment and maintaining of the infrastructure supported by the team, the role also requires the ability to communicate well with both technical and non-technical staff, prioritize effectively and progress tasks across multiple projects and initiatives.

The role requires not only in depth Subject Matter Expert functional knowledge of the technologies supported by the team, but also the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical staff (locally and remotely), prioritise and delegate effectively, and progress tasks across multiple activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Contribute to both Business As Usual (BAU) Level 2 support and the delivery of a range of critical Business and Technology driven projects through the installation, support, and management of IIS.
- Manage Major Incident Management process for the team. React to Major Incidents, engage resources from Level 1 BAU support team as required, participate in incident resolution and root cause investigation. Provide frequent management updates on the status of Major Incidents involved with.
- Act as Middleware (IIS) SME for other teams and functional areas.
- Trouble-shoot and resolve Web site related issues.
- Liaise with other internal groups and third party vendors to resolve problems and incidents.
- Provide root-cause analysis for Middleware (IIS) or Middleware (IIS) related incidents and problems.
- Provide 24*7 on-call support for critical Production systems.
- Review, approve and ensure quality of Middleware (IIS) or Middleware (IIS) related change requests.
- Ownership of tasks relating to all aspects of Service Delivery.
- Install, configure and maintain the supported Windows Webserver products.
- Understand, use, create and enhance monitoring tools associated with the supported Middleware products.
- Creation and rollout of scripts and procedures to support the automation of tasks and processes.
- Participate in monthly and quarterly compliance tasks.
- Manage and drive process improvement within the team, along with maintaining good quality support documentation.
- Delivery of assigned tasks within the scheduled time and to a high quality.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

- Excellent knowledge of IIS with Windows Operating system.
- Strong understanding and demonstrable experience of supporting complex, high-availability services within a financial service environment is required.
- Experience of working in a large Data Centre environment.
