Windows Desktop Engineer

Our Fortune 500 client needs TWO IT System Engineers to work with the project team on the roll out of the Windows 7 operating system). Individuals will be part of a team preparing desktop applications for the installation on Windows7.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on the pre-deployment and post-deployment activities as Windows 7 is upgraded on over 32,000 clients - a mix of desktops and laptops.

Role Description: Specific duties will include (but not necessarily be limited to) workflow management and creating installation instructions. This individual will help facilitate the process and is required to work with application SMEs on the installation instructions for their application. One example of this is getting the data defined to the right format so the application is prepared for the migration.

Required:

- Minimum 3-5 years experience with Windows Clients on both desktops and laptops
- Supported large deployments like WIN 7 or Microsoft Office across a medium to large organization
- Helpdesk level experience with troubleshooting Windows 7 issues, software installation and removal issues, and software repair on laptop/desktop
- ability to work independently and as part of a team in a large and complex environment

Plusses:

Experience with virtual machines would be beneficial
- Experience with MS Office 2013 ProPlus and/or MS Cloud Authentication for licensing is a plus
