Windows Databases & Application Specialist

For a project in Lausanne, we are looking for a

Windows Server Support Specialist

Main purpose:

- Point of contact for applications integration of new business needs on Windows Servers.
- Design server's architecture to integrate new business needs.
- Install and support business applications/DB on Windows Servers.

Responsibilities:

- Point of contact for the integration of new business needs on Windows application Servers.
- Design Servers architecture to integrate new business needs (expertise in windows infrastructure design, MSSQL DB).
- Install business application on Windows Servers.
- Support business applications on preproduction and production windows Servers.
- Ensure installation are done according to the client standards.
- Keep the relevant documentation up to date.
- Train team members on Application Server activities.
- Coordinate with the business OS or applications update, server's renewal process.
- Escalate problems to the respective organization (internally, externally).
- Participate to out of business hours activities.
- Participate to the "On Call support".

Required technical skills:

- 5 years experience in IS/IT
- Extensive knowledge of MS-SQL/MySQL, MS server OS (W2K3, W2K8R2), IIS/Apache, .NET
- Solid know how with VMWare
- Very good skills in Networking (TCPIP)
- First experiences in technical project management
- Project experience in Windows Infrastructure design
- Application integration/support knowhow on windows Servers
- Fluent in English and French
