Windows Admin (Netapp or HP MSA)

The contract is with a consultancy organisation in Brussels with a requirement at the European Commision site as follows:

Important: please be aware that besides LSA Windows competences, the candidate must have at least knowledge of either NetApp or HP MSA (storage).

Start: ASAP (mid-November)

Length: Until mid-July 2013 with potential extensions

Location: Center of Brussels

Languages: English/French

Experience: 5 years minimum in Systems Administration

Shift with 4 other people to cover morning and evening shifts (between 8 am and 18.30 pm).

Please find hereunder a description of the activities:

- Performing system maintenance tasks (eg system configuration, patches installation, trend evaluation);
- Managing the standard configurations according to the different hardware platforms ad the different software releases;
- Supporting the custom-made software
- Troubleshooting (diagnosis and resolution of problems, misuse, configuration conflicts...
- Documenting the problems and assistance to their resolution (in collaboration with the suppliers;
- Providing second level assistance to the end-user support team in the problem solving;
- Developing and testing the standard PC configuration
- Performing system maintenance tasks (eg system configuration, patches installation, trend evaluation);
- Managing Windows Servers including operating systems installation and upgrade, operation control, tuning, backups, capacity management etc.;
- Controlling and monitoring the applications running on the Servers, installation of new applications, etc.;
- Managing the office automation services: file server, printer server, PC connections, logins, etc
- Security control and audits
- Managing SAN, storage capacity, Clustering configuration under Hyper-V
