Windows 7 SCCM Migration

Who we are looking for...

We are doing an XP to Win7 migration of 300 machines and we need someone that has 2-3 years of SCCM as this is the tool being used. Our process is automated but you will need to have working experience with SCCM to ensure process is running smoothly. We are looking for someone who also possesses application packaging skills, helpdesk skills, imaging skills, and troubleshooting skills. Below are additional specifics.

SCCM

- Knows how to do application packaging with SCCM
- Knows SCCM distribution points and how to deploy software, cue up "on-demand" software
- Experience backing up computers using SCCM and NAS LaCie devices

WIN7

- Knows Windows 7 Platform
- Understanding of migration/upgrade path from XP to Win7
- Knows basic LAN/desktop troubleshooting
- Understands how Computers join to an AD, etc.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

- Responsible to document all issues during an office upgrade
- Maintain the issue log and send back to Project Manager
- Escalate issues immediately to technical lead and project manager
- Ability to placate users if they get hyped up over upgrade
