Yoh has a contract opportunity for a WINDOWS 7 ARCHITECT to join our client in Norristown, PA.

Job Overview:
As Windows 7 Architect, you'll lead technology transformation efforts to migrate on to a more user-friendly Microsoft client platform that pushes the state of the art of current and future technology.

Job Responsibilities
- Define your role as Windows Architect based on what we want to achieve as primary objective.
- Acting as thought-leader, you'll work independently as a professional services consultant within the advanced technology team to gather requirements, develop technical specifications, write code, implement best practices, and support the new technology.
- Complete all of the above within achievable implementation timelines and budgetary limits
- Take ownership of the, "Big Picture," or what we are trying to do, while also maintaining a solid understanding of the details of the user experience, the feature set, and the way the hardware and software will be used.
- Utilize end-user data for research, testing, and troubleshooting purposes.
- Sell your ideas based on past experience and new ideas that arrive as you learn more about customer issues and what unique or innovative software solutions are actually available to the team.
- Deal with political, bureaucratic, and other issues in a direct, professional manner.
- Keep everyone aligned - Be the hub, a stake in the ground that can be relied upon to deliver results.
- Assessment, design, transformation and architecture of Microsoft Windows 7 64 bit (and possibly Mac OS-X) desktop image, build, and deployment process using SCCM 2007 R3.
- Investigate, research, and create opportunities for improvement of Windows client user experience, test lab, application virtualization, performance improvement, and security.
- Assist with daily troubleshooting for more advanced Windows framework issues.

Job Qualifications:
- Ten (10) years experience partnering with management, developers, testers, and support to work through the entire desktop image life cycle as an advocate for end-users.
- Background leading Windows client technology teams by selling your vision.
- Self starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
- Someone accustomed to, or able to learn quickly, politics and bureaucracy of a very large organization with a good amount of pressure from the outside - someone with conviction.
- Prior experience bringing together a team, rallying them around a new idea, and mentoring everyone through the process of creating new approaches to client side technology use.
- Ability to gain a clear view of Windows client details and specifications quickly and accurately.
- Experience in Microsoft Windows framework best demonstrated practices, whether ITIL-based or directly from previous background and experience.
- Ability to interview onsite ASAP and start in the Summer of 2013.

Required Skills and Experience
- Strong understanding of Group Policy and Active Directory services.
- Five (5+) years experience as Windows Engineer with Client Architecture responsibilities.
- Experience with WAIK (Windows Automated Installation Kit) for Windows 7, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), and SCCM OS Deployment (OSD).
- Microsoft Windows Desktop Certification for Vista or Windows 7 or equivalent work experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Windows Client security configurations and best practices (Gartner, Microsoft).
- Previous experience designing, evaluating and implementing solutions for optimizing the client computing experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a technical leadership role for the design and implementation of Windows based technologies.
