Windows 2008 Server Engineer Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a WINDOWS 2008 SERVER ENGINEER to join our client in New York, NY.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Working on transitioning file Servers from Windows 2003 to Windows 2008 as well as deploying new physical and virtual Windows 2008 Servers
- Deploy appropriate internal and external controls to deliver bullet proof platform infrastructure and services that are Disaster Ready and Audit Ready, with SLAs that strive for 24x7 availability, 100% uptime
- Develop, deploy and continually enhance integrated, standardized solutions and services for the company
- Windows based server solutions
- VMware design and implementation

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor Degree or higher strongly preferred in Computer Science or a related discipline
- The candidate should be well versed in MS Windows 2008 (2012 would be a bonus).
- They should be able to work well with others, being willing to travel to out remote locations and be an energetic go getter that wants to get things done.
- Solid communications skills are a must. Many of the hours this person will be working will be after normal business hours and on weekends.
- The position does not offering any differential for the afterhours and weekend work, so you will need to build this into your standard rate
- Experience and extensive knowledge working with numerous Microsoft technologies such as Windows Server, Active Directory and related services. Microsoft PowerShell Scripting experience is required.
