Welding Engineer

Subsea welding engineer required URGENTLY.

My client are a large EPC looking for a welding engineer familiar with subsea (pipeline) operations.

The role will be for a 12 month minimum period based out of Paris, France. The project will run in total 2-3 years, short periods of site work in Angola will also be required (covered by the client). Rates are flexible based upon experience.

The contract is on a residential basis (ie mon-fri 40 hour week, no rotation) and the client has preferential rates agreed with local accommodation agencies.

Within the subsea pipeline service and under the supervsion of the subsea welding/mettalurgy team leader, you bring technical support to tender and project team in the following fields:

- Wedling
- Non destructive examination

You have the following activities:

- Review and clarifiy Client specifications
- Prepare scope of work for subcontractors
- Review, clarify and comment technical offers from subcontractors
- Prepare and follow-up technical proposal for tenders
- Manage technical interface between project team (client, other vendors, other dissiplines) and subcontractor
- Specify and follow-up of qualification test and fabrication start
- Analyse non conformance and provide technical recommendations
