WEBSPHERE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This Specialist will act as a second level support analyst for any WebSphere related problems, implement changes on request by the customer or as a part of the problem resolution, interact with engineering team to ensure proper communication of problem resolution results to the customer.
MAIN FIELDS OF EXPERTISE:
-Experience with configuring, installing and administration of WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere based products (2+ years of active experience)
-Linux/Unix administration in corporate environment (2+ years of active experience)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install and configure WebSphere and related technologies including WebSphere Portal, WCM, and IBM Forms Server in development and test environments
Provide production support for applications hosted on WebSphere platform
Document build and configuration procedures as well as other documentation required to maintain the application environments
Troubleshoot technical issues related to the Application Server platform
Perform administrative tasks such as maintenance updates, configuration backups, restarts
Migrate code and manage deployments in multiple environments
Maintain platform security - create/manage logins and access permissions
Perform application performance tuning and optimization
Required Skills:
WebSphere Application Server v7 and v8
WebSphere Portal v8
HTTP Server (IHS) v7+
Networking and TCP/IP
Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2, service administration and security
SQL/RDBMS connectivity (MS SQL Server, Oracle, IBM DB2, etc.)
Web services deployment and management
IBM WebSphere server clustering
XML configuration
WebSphere integration with Active Directory/LDAP Additional Skills:
experience managing WebSphere Products on AIX
