Websphere MQ/MQ FTE Specialist

DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The senior level system administrator is an individual with extensive product knowledge of MQ FTE. The candidate is expected to plan, install and configure the product, implement applications, set up distributed queuing, enable appropriate security, administer and operate a queue manager network, enforce organizational and operational standards, perform basic problem determination and implement clustering and publish/subscribe topologies.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Working knowledge of WebSphere MQ and File Transfer Systems
Working knowledge of supported operating systems (eg, AIX, HPUX, Solaris, i5/OS, Linux on Intel, Linux on zSeries, z/OS, Windows)
Good understanding of messaging concepts as they relate to IBM WebSphere MQ
Basic knowledge of operating WebSphere MQ Explorer
Basic understanding of JMS concepts
Basic knowledge of networking concepts (eg, TCP/IP, SSL, etc)

WORK EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

Min 5 years working with MQ
Min 2 years working with MQ FTE
Experience of above within a project environment
Knowledge of Axway synchrony suite a pr

IBM Foundational Compentencies
Relevant work experience in MQ FTE
Any other remarks
MQ 7 certification is a must have
