Websphere Middleware Developer

Our client in the Philadelphia, PA area is looking for a highly experienced Middleware Developer to join their team. This is a 12+ month contract (with extensions likely) with one of the most well-known companies in the region and nation.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Develop WebSphere Message Broker & WebSphere Application Server (using Version 7 or later for both)

* Perform Design, Configuration, and Administration of MQFTE, WebSphere, & WebSphere MQ

* Performing break-fix, and getting involved in enhancements/projects as they arise

* Develop J2EE/Java code as needed

* Assist team however possible with SQL Server (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) and/or BPM, BDP

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- 3+ years development experience including any one or more of the following:
- Broker (version 7 or later)
- Java (version 6 or later) -including Spring & Struts frameworks
- 3+ years of operations experience including any one or more of the following:
- break/fix, incidents response, defect correction, rotational on-call support, small enhancements, etc.
- Strong understanding of any one or more of the following:SOA architecture, UNIX, Windows, Oracle/SQL databases, Subversion for source code control
- Willing to maintain/document requirements as needed to support project teams
- Willing to engage in testing activities/testing execution as necessary
