Our client, a Tier 1 bank based in Amsterdam, Netherlands is urgently looking for WebSphere specialist to work on a long term contract. 4 Days on site to begin with and further flexibility will be provided down the line.

JOBROLE:
As a WebSphere Application Server Specialist you will be working in a multivendor Agile environment as part of a team using Kanban or Scrum at the client location. This way you are closely connected to the business and able to follow changes from A to Z. Apart from your technical skills this job asks for good communicative skills, being tactful and sometimes even diplomatic being in an internal customer billable services and implementation environment.

In this role you will deploy applications by Scripting the automatic deployment based on input from the application vendors. You are expected to plan, install and configure the product, implement applications, set up distributed queuing, enable appropriate security, administer and operate a MQ network, enforce organizational and operational standards, perform basic problem determination and implement clustering and publish/subscribe topologies.

SKILLS:

5 years' experience working in a large complex IT environment

Foundational Skills teamwork, communication, adherence to company standards and procedures

WebSphere Application Server ND (v7.0, v8.5 and Liberty)

Application Management and Deployment

Knowledge of Java Enterprise Edition 7 of 8

Knowledge of web application architecture and deployments

Knowledge of utilization of the command line interface and Jython/Jacl

Experience performing installation, configuration and optimization tasks to ensure smooth, reliable, secure and efficient operation of a WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment and Liberty Profile environment.

Security configuration and Maintenance

Clustering and Workload Management

Intelligent Management and Resiliency

Performance Monitoring, Tuning and Problem Determination

Knowledge of XLDeploy/XLRelease, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Nexus and GitHub

CI/CD, Agile, Kanban and/or scrum

Basic AIX & Linux skills

Setup and configure SSL-MA

IBM httpserver or Apache httpserver & WAS plugin

EDUCATION

HBO-level education

IBM Certified System Administrator - WebSphere Application Server Network --Deployment V8.5.5 and Liberty Profile

Knowledge of Jira and Service Now or equivalent product

Business Level English with Dutch as extra language preferred
