BACKGROUND: My client, a large bank in Brussels, is seeking a WebSphere Application Server (WAS) Administrator to join the Middleware & Frameworks Group which designs and develops, supports, and operates the communication and data management software tools and infrastructures. These enable integrating business applications with operating systems in a standardized way and whatever the hardware platform (Windows, Unix, Linux, Mainframe) while enforcing security, availability and reliability.

TASKS:

To work on Java application Servers, infrastructure design, automation, deployment, administration and support with a general expertise on web technologies.

Work within the "Distributed Middleware
- Realise and document changes, evolutions and important orders to maintain the level of service;
- Software installation, maintenance and infrastructure tuning;
- Software Release management;
- Technical environments administration;
- Deployment

- Watch duty role for production support;
- Ensure compliance with security guidelines.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Minimum 5 years experience in Implementation and administration of Internet infrastructures.
Integration of the IBM WebSphere Application Server version 7 products on AIX
Experience with RSA Web Authentication agent for Apache.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:

Some knowledge in AIX HACMP, Security, Network and deployment method will be a plus.

Ideally you will have IBM WAS Certification and some experience with Magic Software.
