Jobrole/skillset:
IT Specialist : Application Specialists in this job role have expertise in translating IT requirements in the design, development, and assembly of components to create custom information systems. Typical examples of the deliverables are functional and technical designs, models, components, code, unit tests, and documentation. IT Specialists who primarily apply their technical skills in an internal or external customer billable services and implementation environment.

Role:
The senior level system administrator is an individual with extensive product knowledge of Websphere. The candidate will deploy applications by Scripting the automatic deployment based on input from the application vendors. The candidate is expected to plan, install and configure the product, implement applications, set up distributed queuing, enable appropriate security, administer and operate a queue manager network, enforce organizational and operational standards, perform basic problem determination and implement clustering and publish/subscribe topologies.

Skills:
AIX & Linux skills (incl. shell+D237 scripting)
Websphere Application Server ND (v6.1,v7.0,v8.5)
Application deployment
Setup and configure SSL-MA
IBM httpserver or Apache httpserver & WAS plugin
networks (TCP/IP, routing)
clustering & loadbalancing
Jython, Urban Code (new standard as deployment tool) is not mandatory but a preference
good communication skills

Experience:
Min 5 years working as a senior WAS engineer within a project environment
Experience of above within a project environment using ITIL and Prince concepts

General:
ABN Screening mandatory.
Solid business communication skills both written and verbal, English mandatory plus Dutch preferred. ITIL certification required.
