Salary: £50-65K + opportunity for circa 10K overtime + benefits + bonus

A leading global bank is looking to hire a Websphere Application Server (WAS) SME to join their growing IBM product/Websphere delivery and operations team. Websphere is leveraged by 95% of the bank and there is a key middleware product which needs to be effectively delivered, improved and supported by the subject matter expert team.

The role will involve/ideal previous experience:

* Installation, maintenance, project delivery and support of Websphere products, focusing on application server. IBM Websphere Application Server: v6, 6.1, 7 & 8.5
* Identifying and implementing improvements to both the technical estate and associated processes/toolsets.
* Other technologies being used by the team include: Lotus Domino, Tomcat, IBM HIS server, faxplus and Weblogic Application Server so any exposure to these would be ideal, however it is not essential and the SME will learn these skills over time.

The team is made up of personable individuals who work together to maintain and optimise key middleware infrastructure for the bank, so this is an ideal opportunity for someone with a good technical knowledge and good communication skills to either begin or continue to develop their career with a top tier global bank.
