Websphere Application Server Administrator (Linux/Windows/Dutch)

WEBSPHERE APPLICATION SERVER ADMINISTRATOR

THE JOB DESCRIPTION:

- You will work in an international environment, part of a currently 3 persons headed team in the IT division
- The team is responsible for 4 WebSphere Application Server environments hosting approximately 90 applications.
- Upcoming project for migration towards WebSphere 8.5
- This responsibility includes maintenance, upgrading, capacity planning, and architectural and infrastructure improvements.
- The team is point of contact for our developers, helpdesk and operations support as well as providing support during application development projects.
- Within the team, you will be primarily involved in the day-to-day activities.
- As part of the WebSphere Application support team, knowledge of following technologies is a strong advantage:
- Scripting language (Perl, Jython)
- JBOSS
- Tomcat
- Apache
- LifeRay
- Dynatrace
- Monitoring tools
- Buildenvironment (Nexus, svn, wiki, maven)

YOUR PERSONAL PROFILE:

- bachelor/master degree or experience in the field
- working knowledge of Linux and Windows
- in-depth familiar with WebSphere Application Server
- capable of working under pressure
- no 9-to-5 mentality
- used/willing to work in an international environment
- excellent problem solving skills
- accurate
- procedure based driven
- customer focused
- good knowledge of Dutch and English
- willing to be part of rotating standby regime (1 week standby every 2 weeks)
