Websphere Administrator/Systems Administrator

Our direct, Fortune 500 client is looking for a WebSphere Administrator at its Warren, NJ location. This is a 3-6 month contract - possibly becoming a permanent position (Temp to Hire).

Start date is ASAP.

The IT Infrastructure Application Integration Team has an opening for an individual to provide systems support for web applications and SOA environments running IBM WebSphere products.

The position's roles and responsibilities:
Provide design and operations support for server environments
Work as part of an IT team to coordinate the release of software upgrades
On-call support for system problems and changes
Install and configure application Middleware.
Provide technical support for troubleshooting problems
Participate in hardware and software upgrades affecting supported environments
Plan and implement changes to improve service and/or the environment
Maintain system availability, reliability and performance
Respond to customer inquiries regarding technical support in assigned areas
Work with Application Areas to implement new applications into the environments
