WebSphere Administrator

Our client based in Plymouth is looking for a WebSphere Administrator to join their team on a contract basis.

We are looking for an individual with proven experience in the administration of IBM WebSphere products on z/OS.

Experience of z/OS and two of the following is essential….

* IBM WebSphere Application Server
* IBM WebSphere Portal Server
* IBM WebSphere MQ
* IBM WebSphere Message Broker

The appointee would work closely with our client's staff to reach a level of competence that allows them to support the WebSphere infrastructure, within an agreed timeframe.

Working closely with the WebSphere Support Team the successful candidate will be accountable for:

Main Duties:

* Maintenance, Installation, Configuration and Administration of the WebSphere infrastructure
* Problem Determination of the WebSphere infrastructure
* Support of application deployment and testing on the WebSphere infrastructure

Specific skills and experience:

* IBM WebSphere Application Server
* IBM WebSphere Portal Server
* IBM WebSphere MQ
* IBM WebSphere Message Broker
* Time management skills and a proven ability to deliver to tight deadlines
* Working within an Enterprise infrastructure environment

Desirable:

* Tivoli Monitoring
* ITIL certification
