Webmaster

POSITION DESCRIPTION:            
We are seeking a Webmaster in New York City to join the technology team focused on building and maintaining web and mobile applications.

Webmasters must be able to proficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Tasks are primarily focused on day-to-day operations of the web sites. The Web Master serves as the point person to various clients, most of whom are non-technical, so strong communication skills are needed. Tasks require a strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines. Leadership experience is a plus.

This is an exciting role for a passionate an early career technologist with a can-do attitude. The successful candidate will work closely with internal and external technology experts, and provide technical support to the content editors, to help maintain the web sites and publish the editorial content. We are looking for someone who is passionate about technology product development, and who can thrive in a fast-paced news media & finance organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Webmasters will support the Digital Media Technologies family of Intranet and Internet websites.
- Digital Asset and Content management tasks including preview and publishing of editorial content
- Technical management of HTML and CSS markup, changes for the web site and converting design mock-ups to working web pages
- Ad Placement and Digital Brand management                                                                                                    

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Previous experience building web sites is required.
- Experience with a large-scale web site is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of HTML, DOM, CSS, and JavaScript is required.
- Experience with HTML5, CSS3, PERL, PHP and other Scripting tools is preferred.
- Strong skills required in critical thinking and analysis.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Attention to details is a must.
- Prioritizes multiple tasks effectively.
- Candidate must show an aptitude for detail.

They should display leadership skills such as taking proper responsibility, pursuing solutions to problem, displaying resourcefulness towards accomplishing given task or goals.

Position requires flexible hours and candidates must be able to accommodate early morning, mid-day, and evening work schedules.

WEBMASTER SHIFTS ROTATE BETWEEN EARLY (6AM-2PM), MID-SHIFT (9AM-5PM) AND LATE SHIFT (11:30AM-7:30PM), ALL SUBJECT TO CHANGE
