Our client in St. Louis, Missouri is seeking Web & Usability Designer for an exciting opportunity.

The Web & Usability Designer will design usable solutions for corporate websites and applications, based on corporate goals, contemporary web design principles and user data. They will be responsible for designing the optimal web flow for conversion. This person will also be required to perform some usability testing in order to influence and support their designs. Our client is seeking someone who can work independently as well as take direction, work closely with other teams, and should be self-motivated and organized.

Web & Usability Designer responsibilities include:
Partner with business units, development teams, QA and other stakeholders to design and define the user experience (visual and information architecture) across a suite of web-based sites and services.
Create supporting documentation for Web sites and services that improve the user experience and ensure site success including tutorials, demos, and low-fidelity prototypes.
Design incremental improvements and added features within existing Web sites and services to maintain consistency and ensure an optimal user experience and easy to use information architecture.

Web & Usability Designer Required Experience and Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in related field and 2+ years of professional experience
Ability to apply theories related to color schemes, use of space, text placement, usability and visual flow
Experience designing and producing usable online solutions
Ability to take direction and work with minimum supervision
Ability to be efficient, productive, and flexible with a dynamic workload
Strong communication skills and the ability to work within project schedules and deadlines.
Photoshop (or Illustrator, InDesign, QuarkXPress)
Microsoft Office
Web Usability
Acrobat
Both PC and Mac environments
HTML/CSS
